App and Protocol Disclaimer
Use of this application is at your own risk. No guarantee is given for accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. The application serves as an engineering and test tool for the IEC 61850 protocols (MMS, GOOSE) and the SCL data model. - The application is designed as an engineering and test tool. It does not replace certified protection, control or substation automation equipment.
- Writes (
Writeservice) on productive IEDs can trigger switching operations, control interventions or protection function changes. Before any write to a productive IED it is the user’s express responsibility to understand the consequences and, if necessary, isolate the bay/substation block. - Productive use requires your own assessment, network isolation (VPN / VLAN / firewall), TLS / authentication mechanisms, and where appropriate IEC 62351 substation security extensions.
Lawful Use
The application must only be used in compliance with applicable national laws and regulations. The vendor expressly disclaims any illegal use. Unauthorised access to third-party systems (IEDs, substation automation) without the operator’s consent is a criminal offence (in particular § 202a German Criminal Code in Germany; comparable provisions elsewhere).
