Types of Data Processed

• Connection data for your configured IEC 60870-5-104 devices (IP address, port, Common Address)
• IEC 104 stack parameters (k, w, t0-t3 timeouts)
• Saved connection profiles (locally on the device)
• Protocol logs (telegrams, timestamps) locally within the app only

Purposes of Processing

• Establishing and managing IEC 60870-5-104 connections to telecontrol devices
• Displaying and filtering received telegrams and data points
• Sending commands and queries
• Optional manual export by the user

Principle

✅ We do not process personal data on servers; all data remains locally on your device. There is no disclosure, no sale and no sharing of data.

Legal Basis (EU/UK GDPR)

Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract) and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) where you voluntarily enter data (e.g., connection parameters).

Recipients / Disclosure

• No disclosure to third parties by the app.
• Communication occurs solely between your device and your configured IEC 104 devices.
• Commands sent by you are transmitted solely to the connected device; the app acts as a client (controlling station) or server (controlled station).

Storage Duration

• Protocol logs are stored only temporarily in the app and are deleted on app restart or manually.
• Saved connection profiles persist until you delete them.

Permissions

• Network access for TCP/IP communication with IEC 104 devices
• No other device permissions (e.g., camera, location) are requested.

Transport and Data Security

IEC 60870-5-104 uses unencrypted TCP by default (port 2404). Connection security is the responsibility of the network operator (e.g., VPN, firewall, segmentation).

⚠️ Warning: Unprotected IEC 104 connections can be intercepted or manipulated. Use appropriate network security measures in production environments.
